Radical intention is an open collective based in Milan that has been active since 2009. The term “Radical” concerns the basic and most important parts of an issue, it is something new and different likely to have a great effect and in favor of thorough and complete political and social change. Radical Intention mobilizes alternative research strategies focusing on the affinity between the social-political and artistic practice. Each project promotes a synergy between subjectivities by creating collaborative working groups that bring forth a common critical reflection. Radical Intention pursues the concept of unity theory and action. The collective uses residues of common “orthodoxies” for rethinking artistic processes and it aims at raising critical forms, through a radical renewal.
The group was founded by Maria Pecchioli and Aria Spinelli, and has been collaborating for the past year with Michele D’Aurizio.
